MOO-DAH?
Got a big set of chattering teeth?
Put them on a stick and you've got yourself a parade entry.
Past entries have included "People who definitely saw Elvis," the Mannequin brigade, Forest Gump (he marched backwards during the entire parade), Random Acts of Kindness - if you don't have the picture by now, MOO-DAH might be too simple for your advanced intellect.
MOO-DAH NEWS:
Throw down the gauntlet! If there are at least four MOO DAH entries in one category (example: banks, hair salons, bars, real estate agents, snowmobile drivers, etc.) we will provide a separate prize for that category! All participants will be eligible for all MOO DAH prizes in addition to the special prizes if they are in a category with 4 or more entries.
Date set for parade: Saturday September 27, 2008
Time set for parade: Staging: 1:02 p.m. Parade: 2:01 p.m.
Staging area: Flat Branch Park
Parade Route: Still pending approval by many local and city Big MOO's. Route will be confirmed in May or when we get around to it.
Tentative Route:
East on Cherry to 7th Street - North on 7th to Broadway - East on Broadway to 9th - South on 9th to Elm - West on Elm to Flat Branch Park
The MOO-Dah Committee reserves the right to reject any entry that might offend the sensibilities of our families, pets, mailmen, ancestors, co-workers, neighbors, dentists, Avon ladies, electricians or webmasters. The judgement (although questionable) of the MOO-DAH Committee is final.
All proceeds from the MOO-DAH parade entries go to the Society for the Prevention of Meaningless Parades and then
will be transferred, via a secret off-shore account near Easley, Missouri, to the Columbia United Way.
